Local and regional actions for carbon footprint reduction
20 and 21 February 2014, La Rochelle, France.
The EU-27’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from transport have been increasing and are projected to continue to do so. The rate of growth of transport’s GHC emissions has the potential to undermine the EU’s efforts to meet potential, long term GHG emissions reduction targets if no action is taken to reduce these emissions.
The Forum in February 2014 will focus on interregional mobility and climate :
– prospective on demand and flows for passengers and goods coming in, out or internally in Atlantic Area
– strategies / visions of local /territorial authorities to develop mobility (people and freight)
– future possible solutions based on EU projects testimonials
Early confirmed speakers included Atout France, Blablacar, OFP, La Poste, Rome2rio, Siteproject, Totem and Transdev.
This event is FREE to attend and open to all the stakeholders including Regions, Medium sized cities’ officers interested in sustainable mobility, elected representatives, transport, energy, environment actors and also tourism entities.
